The Daily, a new American restaurant and bar, is now open at 214 North Church Street in Uptown (close to Basil).
The vibe is similar to what you’ve experienced at Workman’s Friend – laid back, well designed and the type of place you can lose track of time as you’re drinking and hanging with buddies. You can tell that the ownership group made a major investment in the upfit.
Inside, you’ll find a large bar, high top tables and a few booths. The Daily also has a patio with a much airier, light feel than the main area.
Hours are 3 p.m. – 2 a.m. Monday to Thursday and 10 a.m. – 2 a.m. Friday to Sunday.
Menu highlights include: Beef Jerky ($6), Chicken Wings ($6), The Daily Mac double cheeseburger w/ shoestring fries ($12), Roasted Chicken Club w/ shoestring fries ($11) and the Pot Pie ($11).
The Daily has 20+ beers on draft ($4-$7), craft cocktails ($12), liquor back shots ($8) and wine.
