Meghan Markle’s entire wardrobe may be selling out online, but you can buy her engagement ring right here in Charlotte.

“When a princess-to-be gets engaged, you recreate her ring, obviously!” Diamond Direct wrote in an Instagram post that generated over 1,400 likes.

True to their word, the jewelry store has created a $28,000 replica that’s now available in their SouthPark store — with 14K yellow gold, 2-carat cushion cut diamonds (F VS2), and 2 carats of round side stones.

Long gone are the days of Wallis Simpson. From the fun of Canadian-designed coats and custom engagement rings, to the significance of celebrating diversity (like Twitter’s #blackgirlmagic and #blackprincess responses to Meghan’s engagement), Meghan Markle’s engagement trends have us captivated.

Why recreate it? The ring Prince Harry designed is streamlined and simple — something Diamonds Direct said will make it a more accessible trend than Kate Middleton’s unique sapphire.

Expect Markle ring designs to be a popular trend in the engagement ring world.

Assuming the diamonds are high quality, Meghan’s ring could be worth as much as $350,000.

Although not replicas, similar styles cost $31,000 from Tiffany & Co, $3,000 from Blue Nile, $1,999 from Helzberg Diamonds and $22,400 from Zales.

Couples hoping to recreate that symbolism or incorporate family heirlooms of their own can do so, working with their own stones and the in-house designers at Diamonds Direct.
