Charlotte live music fans, here’s a quick list of 10 must-attend concerts in October.

October 5: Zac Brown Band, Darrell Scott

The southern rock and country group hit it big in 2008 with “Chicken Fried,” and followed it up with seven top country singles in the next three years.

October 10: Cris Jacobs

The rock singer and guitar player blends bluegrass and folk with funk and soul.

Andrew Marlin and Emily Frantz make up the Chapel Hill folk duo.

Catchy, folky Americana music from Charleston.

Breakaway Music Festival takes over AvidXchange Music Factory in its first appearance outside of the Midwest.

October 15: Conor Oberst, Tim Kasher, Frances Quinlan

Oberst is a singer-songwriter and the Bright Eyes front man.

October 18: Old Crow Medicine Show

The folk band will be performing Bob Dylan’s 1966 album, Blonde On Blonde, in its entirety.

October 20: Corey Smith

Despite a lack of mainstream success, the country musician has continued packing shows and releasing albums, including his tenth, which came out in 2015.

October 22: Spoon

The Austin rockers are touring on the heels of the release of Hot Thoughts, their ninth studio album since their debut in 1993.

October 27: Portugal. The Man, Lido, Maybird

The rock band released their ninth studio album, Woodstock, which features their first ever top 10 Billboard hit, “Feel It Still,” in June.
