Starbucks has made a killing by letting customers order from their smartphones and waltz up and pick up their order.

Finally, Charlotte breweries, coffee shops, food trucks, restaurants and clothing stores will soon be able to get the same experience.

How? A Charlotte startup named Cloosiv.

The company has developed an app that will allow merchants to offer mobile ordering and payment across a range of industries.

Breweries and pop-up shops will be able to let people order and pay for their beer and simply pick it up at the bar.

Restaurants can allow customers to scan a bar code on their receipt to pay.

Retail stores will be able to let customers scan bar codes on the tag and pay without waiting in line at the register.

To get access to the service, merchants pay a monthly fee. They’ll get the service and customer insights.

The startup secured a $300,000 seed round of funding in April from North Highland Consulting. The four-person Cloosiv team has an office in WeWork on Stonewall Street.

The app is expected to roll out at local breweries and retailers this fall.

The app is not yet available for download, but their web properties are up and running.

Stay tuned for more news on Cloosive as they sign up breweries and retailers. If you’re interested in signing up for the platform, you can emailĀ
