When it comes to full-sized, healthy, easy-to-make meals, nothing makes life easier than a service like Blue Apron or HelloFresh. The food services have changed the way the nation cooks dinner, but they have smaller, local counterparts in Charlotte, too.
Here’s your guide to each, including menu, delivery and cost breakdown.

Menu: The menu rotates weekly and has featured bacon and parmesan stuffed chicken breast, London broil and butternut squash with chickpea curry. Á la Minute is committed to protecting its customers from food allergens and cross-contamination.
Delivery: Food will arrive on Monday afternoon between 1- 5PM. They offer different ways to receive a delivery if you are not home, and you will also receive text messages to let you know when we will be delivering to you and when our delivery has arrived.
Cost: Each meal is a la carte, and ranges in price from $9.95-$14.95 per meal.
Menu: The vegetarian and vegan menu doesn’t use processed foods, artificial flavors or preservatives and includes things like vegan bean chili, Athlete’s Lunch (brown rice, chili, tofu), barley soup, ale salad and Tuscan white bean soup. The menu isn’t online (they’re undergoing a website revamp), but you can see items on Facebook.
Delivery: No. Customers can pick up directly from Beverly or find her meals at places like Healthy Home Market, Reid’s and Whole Foods.
Cost: Each meal is about $5.50.
Menu: The menu changes every Tuesday and is live until 10 a.m. on Friday. Menus have included Sriracha Teriyaki Meatballs, Asian Lettuce Wraps, Green Beans with Chimichurri Sauce and Lemon Bars. See the menu.
Delivery: Orders must be placed by 10 a.m. on Friday for a Sunday or Monday delivery. Delivery is free for orders of $60 or more.
Cost: Meals are $12 and desserts are $8 each.
Menu: The menu is focused on fresh, local options that are healthy without compromising in taste. Items include Blackened Salmon with Parsnip Fries, Meat Lasagna and Cous Cous & Steak Power Bowls. Delivery: Orders are placed by Thursday at midnight for a Sunday delivery between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Orders of $150 or more include free delivery. Details.

Menu: The fish market offers chef-created meals with menus that change every week and offer items like Faroe Island salmon, grouper, and halibut with sides like collard greens and sweet potato hash.
Delivery: No. Customers e-mail their orders and pick them up in-store.
Cost: $9.99 for sides and sauce, market price for fish
Menu: The menu, focused on the right balance of protein carbs and fats, is updated weekly. Meals have included a French Dip Sandwich, Hawaiian Chicken and Mediterranean Chicken Bowl. Menus are released every Thursday at 8 a.m. See the full menu for the Ayrsley location.

Cost: Meal plans start at $38 (5 meals) and peak at $128 (21 meals) per week.
Menu: Focused on healthy, organic and gluten-free meals with a menu that changes every Tuesday at 1 p.m. The full menu, whose portions and sides are adjustable, includes Turkey Shepherd’s Pie, Herb Crusted Salmon-Carrot Purée and Habañero Lime Salmon Burrito. Menu: The menu is based on the Whole9 Nutrition Principles and is tailored to each individual customer. You’ll consult with a chef to design the menu and make the meals in-house with them. See how it works.
Cost: $230-$295, depending on the number of meals you order, plus the cost of groceries.
Menu: Over 30 high protein, low sodium and allergy-friendly menu items for breakfast, lunch and dinner along with gluten-free options. Options include sweet potato mash and roasted chicken, fajita chicken and steak bowl and ginger glazed salmon with sautéed vegetables. See the full menus.

Cost: Meals range in price from $5.50 to $9.95 a la carte, but the 80/20 Fresh Fit Weekly meal plan, which consists of 15 meals, runs $90 to $120. Details.

Menu: The farm-fresh menu is updated weekly and previous menus have included Smokey NC Pulled Pork BBQ, Chili Lime Chicken and Beef & Broccoli. Each meal comes ready to be microwaved (in the package) and takes just three minutes. See adult meals, kids’ meals and bulk boxes.
Delivery: Shipping is free, and meals will arrive via FedEx Tuesday or Wednesday.
Cost: Customers can choose between the Couples (lunch or dinner for two during the work week, $130/week), Anti-Cook (lunch and dinner every day for one person, $182/week) and All In (one meal per day for a family of three, $231/week) plans or build their own ($70+). See plans here.
Menu: The menu doesn’t change seasonally, but the vegetables do. Includes breakfast, lunch and dinner options like Strawberry French Toast, Raspberry Shrimp Salad and Fajitas. Delivery: No. Customers can pick up Monday through Saturday at the to-go window (510 East 15th Street). Hours are 5-7 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday and by appointment Tuesday and Thursday.

Menu: The organic, vegan, health-oriented menu is updated weekly and includes entrées (ex: Deconstructed Tamales with Jackfruit and Heirloom Pico de Gallo, Bodhi Bowl, etc.), soups (ex: Loaded Baked Potato Stew), sides (ex: Satay Tofu Platter, Tandoori Cauliflower and Chickpeas), salads (ex: Jambalamba), breakfast, snacks and desserts.
